シナリオ

前回のブログでは、実際にプロジェクトが実行フェーズに入る際のタスクの割り当てをご紹介しました。

今回は、プロジェクト メンバーによる時間や経費の入力、プロジェクト マネージャーによる実績確認について
ご紹介します。

スケジュールの表示

プロジェクト メンバーは、自分のスケジュールとタスクの確認を行えます。

1. [プロジェクト サービス] – [予約とタスク] をクリックします。
2. カレンダーが表示され、自分にアサインされたタスクとスケジュールの確認ができます。
   

時間と経費の入力

プロジェクト メンバーがモバイル デバイスから自分のスキルにマッチしたプロジェクトを検索するには、
スマートフォン用のモバイル アプリケーションである “Project Finder Mobile” をダウンロードして用意します。

モバイル デバイスから時間や経費の入力をするには、スマートフォン用の Dynamics CRM アプリケーションを
ダウンロードして用意します。
ここでは、こちらのアプリケーションを使った操作をご紹介します。

<時間入力>

1. スマートフォン用の Dynamics CRM アプリケーションで、Dynamics CRM の URL 、アカウント情報を入力して
   サインインします。
2. 画面右上のナビゲーションから、[時間入力] をクリックします。
   
3. [自分の日付別時間入力] の横の [+] をクリックします。
   日付、期間 、種類 (作業、不在、休暇) と対象のプロジェクト、プロジェクト タスクを入力します。
   説明やメモを入力することもできます。
   
4. 画面右下の […] をクリックし、[保存]、[送信] をクリックします。
   送信後に取り消す場合もこの操作で行えます。
   

<経費入力>

1. スマートフォン用の Dynamics CRM アプリケーションで、Dynamics CRM の URL 、アカウント情報を入力して
   サインインします。
2. 画面右上のナビゲーションから、[経費] をクリックします。
3. [経費の作成] の横の [+] をクリックします。
   日付、経費の目的 、金額と消費税、通貨と対象のプロジェクト、経費カテゴリを入力します。
   説明やメモを入力することもできます。
4. 画面右下の […] をクリックし、[保存]、[送信] をクリックします。
   送信後に取り消す場合もこの操作で行えます。
   

Web ブラウザから作業することもできます。
経費の入力を行う場合は、プロジェクト サービスの [経費] をクリックします。

1. [プロジェクト サービス] – [時間入力] をクリックします。
2. [新規] をクリックします。
   日付、期間 、種類 (作業、不在、休暇) と対象のプロジェクト、プロジェクト タスクを入力します。
   説明やメモを入力することもできます。
3. [保存] をクリックします。
   
4. 保存した時間エントリをクリックし、画面上部の [送信] をクリックします。
5. 入力した内容を確認し、[送信] をクリックします。

時間と経費の承認

プロジェクト マネージャーは、メンバーが送信した時間と経費の確認を行い、承認または却下 (拒否) します。

1. [プロジェクト サービス] – [プロジェクトの承認] をクリックします。
2. ビューの切り替えを行い、[承認を受けるための時間入力です] または [承認を受けるための経費入力です] をクリックします。
   
3. 時間入力または経費レコードを選択し、[承認] または [拒否] をクリックします。
   レコードをダブルクリックすると、詳細の確認ができます。
4. 拒否する場合は、コメントの追加を行って、その理由を送信者に知らせることができます。
   
5. 送信したユーザーは、時間または経費の申請のステータスを確認することができます。
   　

プロジェクトの進捗と実績の確認

プロジェクト マネージャーは、プロジェクトの進捗を確認する必要があります。
個々のプロジェクトの追跡をするには、以下の操作を行います。

1. [プロジェクト サービス] – [プロジェクト] で対象プロジェクト レコードを開きます。
2. プロジェクト レコード名の横の下向き矢印をクリックし、[プロジェクトの追跡] をクリックします。
3. 表とガントチャートで進捗が表示されます。
   [行動の追跡] では時間の追跡、[コストの追跡] では経費の追跡ができます。
   
4. 対象のプロジェクト レコードを表示し、[状態] 領域を使っても進捗状況を可視化できます。
   

プロジェクト全般の分析を行うには、ダッシュボードが利用できます。

1. [プロジェクト サービス] – [ダッシュボード] をクリックします。
   コストや粗利、リソースの稼働率を分析できます。
   

このフェーズでの準備作業

ここでご紹介した手順を行うためには、いくつか事前に実施する操作があります。

• 経費カテゴリ : 経費のカテゴリです。交通費、宿泊費、接待費などを事前に定義しておきます。
  [プロジェクト サービス] – [経費カテゴリ] で設定します。

Angela Duckworth recently talked to our company about Grit. I love this topic, but probably more so as it reminds me of my childhood. Grit tubs at the end of the road for when it got icy and dangerous to drive.

Grit I discovered through Gladwell books and sports science studies. What was discovered was a core component of success is grit.

Grit is a:

• Personality trait
• Passion and perseverance towards long-term goals
• Sustained effort and interest in a specific activity over years in spite of hardship, disappointment and plateaus

Quoted from University of Sydney, faculty of education and social work. They did a study of 400 Australian Elite youth footballers and visited various footballing teams worldwide to see how they developed elite athletes;

While certain individuals may change goals and direction in the wake of disappointment or boredom, gritty individuals possess the fortitude to continually endeavour toward their goal even without immediate feedback or recognition. It was no surprise that grittier players invested more time than their peers, in competition and play, and performed bet

Angela described grit also as perseverance and passion (direction) over a long period time. Its related to something you are Interested in and think is important.

So, in answer to this blog posts topic, Grit can be developed because its sustained over a long period of time.

How can you harness and develop Grit?

If you are trying to be gritty you might want to think about a role model and ask yourself who are you trying to be like?

A growth mindset, another strong cultural meme at Microsoft, and grit are highly correlated she said, though growth mindset doesn’t guarantee other centred purpose

Perhaps you can give yourself hypothesis to test. Do one thing better every day. Ask yourself why, so you can’t find multiple routes to  a goal

Curiously millennials have had the lowest score in Grit – Grit may well be related to life experience. A maturity principle.

Leadership and Grit?

In terms of leading, and even parenting  there are ways of developing grit.  In general, encourage finish whatever you begin. Fulfil your commitments. Choose things that are hard.

Also recognise that passion comes from autonomy. Preserve, don’t diminish autonomy.

Angela finished our session with a warning… be careful – there can be costs and risks with Grit. It can be consuming and can be single purposed, which is not always team or socially centred.

Azure CLI is a node.js cross-platform tool that works on Linux, Mac OS and Windows and allows to work with Microsoft Azure from the command line. The latest version of Azure CLI includes some commands to work create and manage Azure Container Service clusters.

Install Azure CLI

Azure CLI can be installed using the node.js package manager (npm):

npm install –g azure-cli

If you already have installed this tool, you may have to upgrade to the latest version using:

npm update –g azure–cli

The latest published version is 0.10.2. You can check your current version with the command:

azure ––version

You are now ready to work with Azure CLI.

Connect to your Microsoft Azure subscription

To connect your Microsoft Azure account with Azure CLI, use the “azure login” command. It will generates a code to use on http://aka.ms/devicelogin. Open this URL in your web browser and enter the code. Then log in to your Microsoft Azure account. Once done, your subscriptions will be imported and usable from the Azure CLI:

Azure CLI supports both ASM (Azure Service Management) and ARM (Azure Resource Management) modes. Azure Container Service requires that you switch to the ARM mode. To do that, use the command:

azure config mode arm

Create an Azure Container Service cluster with Azure CLI

First, you need to generate a JSON parameters file that will be used for the deployment. The generation can be done using the command:

azure acs config create ––json ––parameter-file NameOfYourJSONConfigFile.json

Open your favorite JSON editor (I am personally using Visual Studio Code which is pretty cool). As you can see, all the structure is here, you just have to complete some parameters:

The first JSON object is about the orchestrator you want to use. You need to complete the “orchestratorType” value with either “Swarm” or “DCOS” depending on the orchestrator you want to deploy in your cluster. In this example, I have chosen to use Docker Swarm:

“orchestratorProfile”: { “orchestratorType”: “Swarm” }

Then you need to complete parameters for the master nodes availability set. You have to specify the number of masters that you want to deploy (1-3-5), the DNS prefix and FQDN where the masters will be accessible. The FQDN is the concatenation of the prefix and “your_deployment_region.cloudapp.azure.com”. In this case I want 1 master node, deployed on acsazurecli-master.northeurope.cloudapp.azure.com:

“masterProfile”: { “count”: 1, “dnsPrefix”: “acsazurecli-master”, “fqdn”: “acsazurecli-master.northeurope.cloudapp.azure.com” }

You need also configure the agent pools with the number of machines you want in your cluster, the size of these machines and the DNS/FQDN information:

“agentPoolProfiles”: [ { “name”: “agentpools”, “count”: 2, “vmSize”: “Standard_A2”, “dnsPrefix”: “acsazurecli-agents”, “fqdn”: “acsazurecli-agents.northeurope.cloudapp.azure.com” } ]

For the Docker Swarm deployment, there are no Windows jumpbox so you need to remove the windowsProfile JSON section.

You need to provide are the username and the SSH public key that will be used to SSH to the master node. You can read this blog post to learn how to generate an SSH key. Once generated, just past the content of the public key in the keyDate JSON property:

“linuxProfile”: { “adminUsername”: “jcorioland”, “ssh”: { “publicKeys”: [ { “keyData”: “ssh-rsa YOUR PUBLIC SSH PUBLIC KEY” } ] } }

And finally, update the location value at the bottom of the file with the Microsoft Azure location where you want to deploy the cluster:

“location”: “northeurope”

Save your file and you’re done for the configuration step!

Note: if you do not want to edit the file manually, you can use acs config commands from Azure CLI to configure each section:

Now that your parameters file is ready, you can create a new resource group using the following command:

azure group create YourResourceGroupName RegionWhereYouWantToCreateTheGroup

I have chosen to create a resource group named “AzureCliAcs-RG” in the North Europe region:

azure group create AzureCliAcs-RG northeurope

Finally, use the “azure acs create” command to create a new cluster based on your parameters files:

azure acs create ––json ––parameter-file NameOfYourParameterFile.json –resource-group YourResourceGroupName –name NameOfYourContainerService

Wait for the deployment to be completed (it can take a while depending on the number of agents you asked for).

Once the deployment has completed, you can get information about the Azure Container Service cluster using the command:

azure acs show YourResourceGroupName NameOfYourContainerService

Scale the number of agents in your Azure Container Service cluster

Another cool command that has been implemented in the Azure CLI ACS is the scale command. It allows to create more nodes in you cluster if you need to increase its capacity. To do that, you simply need to use the azure acs scale command. For example if you want 4 agents in the cluster type:

azure acs scale YourResourceGroupName NameOfYourContainerService 4

Very cool, isn’t it ? To see all the features implemented for Azure Container Service in the Azure CLI tool, you can use the –h parameter on the azure acs command.

Windows 10 をお使い頂きありがとうございます。いよいよ Windows 10 Anniversary Update のリリース（米国時間8月2日）が間近に迫ってきました！
皆さまからお寄せ頂いているフィードバックは大きく品質に貢献していただいております。改めて感謝申し上げます。

今回は、日本語入力(IME) の知っておくと便利な機能を2回に分けてご紹介いたします。

● 履歴や設定の同期
複数のコンピューターで日本語 Microsoft IMEをお使いの場合、Windowsの「設定の同期」機能を使うことでコンピューター間で 日本語IMEの設定内容や入力履歴を同期することが可能です。例えばオフィスで２台のコンピューターをお使いであれば、入力履歴として保存された単語やIMEの設定内容がもう一方のコンピューターに自動的に同期されるので、よく使う取引先の社名や珍しい人名を予測候補や変換候補の上位から選択できるようになったり、IMEの設定内容を改めて変更し直す必要がなくなります。

同一の Microsoft アカウントまたはドメインアカウントを使ってサインインしているコンピューター間で、下記の日本語IME関連の情報が同期されます。本機能を利用するには、Windows 8 以降のOSが必要です。Windows 8/8.1 と Windows 10 間での同期には 、Microsoft アカウントでサインインしている必要があります。

• 学習情報
• 入力履歴
• ユーザー辞書 (*)
• カスタム辞書 (*)
• IME の設定

(*) 同期先のコンピューターに学習情報および入力履歴として同期されます。

「設定の同期」を使うにはWindows 10 のスタートメニューを開き、「設定」（歯車のアイコン）をクリックします。「アカウント」→「設定の同期」から「言語設定」をオンにし、お使いのコンピューターに同一の Microsoft アカウントかドメインアカウントでサインインしていることを確認すれば、複数のコンピューター間でIMEが使いやすい状態に保たれます。ぜひご利用ください。

今回は、皆さまからのご意見を参考に、意外と知られていない機能を取り上げてみましたが、いかがでしたでしょうか。Windows 10 プレビュービルドだけでなく、通常の Windows 10 でもお使いいただける機能ですので、ぜひお試しください。

Both PaaS and IaaS services hosted in Azure generate a large amount of data in security logs. These logs contain vital information that can provide intelligence and powerful insights into policy violations, internal and external threats, regulatory compliance issues, and anomalies in network, host, and user activity.

This ability to get raw logs from your Azure resources into your Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems provides a unified dashboard for all your assets, on-premises or in the cloud, so that you can aggregate, correlate, analyze and alert for security events associated with your applications. Azure Log Integration enables you to integrate these logs from assets deployed in Azure to on-premises Security Information Event Management (SIEM) systems . 

High level architecture: 

What logs can I integrate?

Azure produces extensive logging for every service. These logs are categorized by two main types:

• Control/Management logs– Control/Management logs give visibility into the create, update and delete operations that goes through Azure Resource Manager. Azure Audit logs contain these logs

Data Plane logs – Data plane logs give visibility into the events raised using the usage of the Azure resource. An example of this are the Windows event system, security and application logs in a Virtual machine

Get Started with Azure Log Integration

Download the package from the Microsoft Download Center  and install Azure Log integration

Note: The Azure Log integration service collects telemetry data from the machine on which it is installed. Please uncheck the option if you would not like to allow Microsoft to collect the telemetry data.

Telemetry data collected –

• Exception information that happens during execution of Azure log integration
• Metrics about # of queries made and # of events processed
• Usage statistics about which Azlog.exe command line option is being used

Integrate Azure VM Logs from your WAD (Windows Azure Diagnostics) Storage accounts

1. Ensure that your WAD storage account is collecting the logs before continuing on the Azure log integration
2. Open command prompt, and cd into c:Program FilesMicrosoft Azure Log Integration
3. Run the command:  azlog source add <FriendlyNameForTheSource> WAD <StorageAccountName> <StorageKey>
   <StorageAccountName> – This is the Azure storage account configured to receive Diagnostics events from your Virtual Machine
    Example: azlog source add azlogtest WAD azlog9414 fxxxFxxxxxxxxywoEJK2xxxxxxxxxixxxJ+xVJx6m/X5SQDYc4Wpjpli9S9Mm+vXS2RVYtp1mes0t9H5cuqXEw==
   Optionally, you can append the subscription ID to the friendly name if you would like the subscription id to show up in the event XML. 
   azlog source add <FriendlyNameForTheSource>.<SubscriptionID> WAD <StorageAccountName> <StorageKey>
4. To view the events that are pulled from the storage account, Open Event Viewer –>Windows Event log–> Forwarded Events on the Azlog Integrator
5. Make sure your standard SIEM connector (e.g. Splunk Universal Forwarder or ArcSight Windows Event Smart Collector or QRadar WinCollect) installed on the machine is configured to pick events from forwarded events folder and pipe them to SIEM instance. Review the SIEM specific information to ensure that you are integrating the Azure VM logs.

Integrate Azure Audit logs and Azure Security Center Alerts

1. Open command prompt, and cd into c:Program FilesMicrosoft Azure Log Integration
2. Run the command:  azlog createazureid  This command will prompt for your Azure Login and creates an Azure Active Directory Service Principal in the Azure AD Tenants that host the Azure subscriptions in which the logged in user is a Co-Administrator or owner. The command will fail if the logged in user is only a Guest user in the Azure AD Tenant.Authentication to azure is done through Azure AD.  Creating a service principal for Azlog Integration will create the Azure AD identity that will be given access to read from Azure subscriptions.
3. Run the command:  azlog authorize <SubscriptionID>
   The azlog authorize command assigns reader access on the subscription to the service principal created in step # If you don’t specify a SubscriptionID , then the service principal will be assigned the reader role to all subscriptions to which you have any access.(Note: You may see some warnings if you run the authorize command immediately after createazureid. The reason for this is that there is some latency between the Azure Active Directory account creation and the account being available for use. If you wait about 10 seconds after running createazureid and then run authorize, then you should not see these warnings)
4. Check the following folders to confirm Audit log JSON files exist in them:
   C:UsersazlogAzureResourceManagerJson
   C:UsersazlogAzureResourceManagerJsonLD
   The tool generates both pretty printed and line delimited JSON.
5. Check the following folders to confirm that Azure Security Center alerts exist in them:
   C:Usersazlog AzureSecurityCenterJson
   C:UsersazlogAzureSecurityCenterJsonLD
6. Point the standard SIEM file forwarder connector to the appropriate folder to pipe the data to SIEM instance. You may need some field mappings based on SIEM product you are using.
